Immigration by jacquie
I know we are a caring nation, in many of my previous post I have expressed that America is giving, loving, and always there for those in need. For some time, we have been confronted by an illegal immigration problem not just those who illegally cross our borders, but those who over stay their visa. Our government is powerful and has much at its disposal. So far it cannot; or does not want to get a handle on this situation. I know first hand the desire to want to come to America; I am an American by choice and the grace of God. I was able to get a sponsor; who arranged for a job, I completed required application. From that point, they checked my background for crime. They also checked for crime that my direct family may have committed all the way back to my grandparents. I had to pass a physical, including taking a pregnancy test (I was single) the end of the process was an interview, and only then was I granted a card. I was more than willing to comply with the entire request for I was asking to enter the homeland of other people. First let us understand illegal immigrants do not abide by laws. Imagine having guests in your home; and, after a pleasant evening, it was time to say goodbye, and in response the guest turned to you saying “I am staying. I will be using your house and eating your food, and sharing in all the benefits that you have worked for.” This is equal to over staying a visa. Yet another scenario, you are in your home and people just walk in and decide to stay regardless of your protest… you call the local police, but they cannot help as it is not under their jurisdiction, their hands are tied? If you question illegal immigration, you will be made to feel as if you are callous and cruel.Political Correctness at its best. Sound crazy, think about it.
It is interesting to note.
North Korean, border. If you illegally cross, you get 12 years hard labor
Iranian, border. If you illegally cross, you are detained indefinitely.
Afghan, border. If you illegally cross, probability you get shot.
Saudi Arabia, border. If you illegally cross, you will be jailed.
Chinese, border. If you illegally cross, you will be jailed or never heard from again.
Venezuelan, border. If you illegally cross, you will be branded a spy, and your fate sealed.
Cuban, border. If you illegally cross, you will be thrown in prison to rot.
USA, border. If you illegally cross, you will be afforded the opportunity of many of the following. A job, driver’s license, social security card, welfare, food stamps, credit cards, subsidized rent, or loan to purchase a home, free education, free health care, lobbyist in Washington, billions of dollars worth of public documents, printed in your language, and finally the right to carry your country’s flag while you protest that you, are not respected enough for being illegal.
America: Something is wrong with this picture; it is true we need a tightly controlled guest worker program. This would allow people to work legally and advantage themselves, taking home a salary, after it has been taxed, just as Americans are taxed. Truly; amnesty is not the answer. Amnesty is a slap in the face to those honest law-abiding immigrants who followed the rules, and stood in line.
May God Bless those who serve. In doing so they protect our freedom.
