Bread and Circuses are now signaling the end of our country as they did Rome. Our public is overly enamored with professional sports such as football, basket ball, and NASCAR. A very large part our taxes go for welfare and other social programs and are increasing every year.

The poet Juvenal said in one of his satires “Already long ago, from when we sold our vote to no man, the People have abdicated our duties; for the People who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions, everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things, bread and circuses.

Liberal Death Threat

Christiane Amanpour downplayed a death threat to “As our town hall concluded, one of the victims of the shooting in our audience became agitated and was detained by security.” What happened was slightly different. Democrat J. Eric Fuller a shooting victim of Loughner took a picture of the Tea Party spokesman and said ” You are dead ” .

Do Not Hold Your Breath

After the November elections, so many breathed a sigh of relief. A word of caution, “it ain’t over till the fat lady sings”, and right now she is only humming. The Democrat Party is not about to give up its hold on the country. Nothing is sacred (for democrats no pun intended), the democrats and the vast liberal money machine, will stop at nothing. The left’s insatiable quest for power is relentless. It is breathtaking what has been accomplished in the last few months, by a shellacked Democrat party, with the help of a few misguided Republicans. We can only hope that we can hold until the New Congress is firmly seated, and they start to develop the backbone that we gave them in the 2010 November elections.

Daily Kos has a long history of scrubbing things like this, so those are the screen grabs above for a hit piece Kos ran on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords on Thursday January 6th, 2010. The article, entitled “My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi! And is now DEAD to me!”, was written by someone calling him/herself BoyBlue.
It eerily presaged the assassination attempt on the Congresswoman, with the Kos author angry Giffords opposed Nancy Pelosi’s radical agenda.

They have downplayed their military buildup, their nuclear forces, and even Chinese generals writing books on how they would conduct war with the USA.

The Fed recently printed $600 billion that Obama said would help the economy(one more lie) and didn’t say what would surely happen, INFLATION. Gold is hitting unheard of prices as a result of distrust of the dollar. We are becoming a banana nation under the inept or possibly planned destruction of our economy.
