Why I’m Not Going to Watch Obama’s State of The Union Address
Jan 25, 2010
I have never missed a State of The Union Address since the days of Richard Nixon. On Wednesday I’ll pop a few tall cool ones and watch some reruns of I Love Lucy.
The first year of this administration has been an absolute disaster. It is incredibly difficult for the most unbiased of observers to argue differently. We actually know very little if anything about the man who will be delivering the address. What do we know: he will be using a teleprompter, his words will be carefully selected from focus groups to make us feel all warm and fuzzy. The agenda, we are told, is to tell us about his plans to create jobs in his second year, and deal with the pain and suffering of the middle class.
None of his promises will ultimately be kept because he follows no economic model that has ever led to prosperity. He and his supporters are all about taxing us on virtually everything. Remember the promise of not a penny of new taxes for families making under $300,000? Just one of many lies. Apparently he and his administration are completely unaware of the fact that no country in history has ever taxed itself into prosperity.
Why should we listen to, or believe anything the individual tells us, when he is such a blatant contradiction, and pathological liar? We don’t know where he was born and we have no records of his alleged scholarship. Where did he receive the funding to attend such prestigious left-wing schools? Did he ever attend Columbia University? How was he selected President of the Harvard Law Review with one written article? He is called a Law Professor, which he never was. The man, in a word, can’t be trusted. Makes perfect sense that the Manchurian Candidate would as his first executive order, require that every thing about his past be sealed. We must never forget how this man was elected.
Are we supposed to continually believe the promises of a narcissist who is doing the bidding for the radical left? It’s the goal of this man and his supporters to lead American and American values into the abyss. Can he offer us any hope of positive change that we should can believe in?
